A unique opportunity exists for a well-presented, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our Mental health Drug & Alcohol team as a Service Director for the North Shore Ryde Mental Health Service.

What you'll be doing

The Service Director provides operational oversight and governance for the NSRMHS including a 32 bed inpatient unit, 6 bed PECC unit, Assertive Outreach Team, Acute Team, Early Intervention Service and Ryde Older Persons Team.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Qualifications or extensive experience in a relevant clinical field (psychiatry, nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy or similar health related field. Extensive senior level management experience in health care services/settings.
  2. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and experience in at all levels of the organisation with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  3. Demonstrated time management skills including an ability to effectively organise the workload with competing priorities, limited resources and the complexities of multiple site communications and service delivery within a matrix style organisation.
  4. Proven experience in successfully planning and achieving; financial, services, operational, project, workforce and strategic outcomes, incorporating current health service governance, continuous improvement and patient safety focuses whilst fostering a culture of inquiry.
  5. Demonstrated experience in successful project/change management from inception through to evaluation and completion, including human resource, financial and risk management and the ability to develop, implement and evaluate associated evidence based policies and procedures
