* A new Parliamentary Officer Enterprise Agreement will be negotiated during 2024. It is anticipated that the salary range for this role will increase potentially to $182,813 to $248,629.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a passionate IT leader to spearhead the development and implementation of a transformative Technology Roadmap. You'll guide a multi-year journey, shaping a contemporary ICT ecosystem that enables the Parliament of Victoria and the parliamentary departments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a strategic multi-year Technology Roadmap alongside senior management.
  • Oversee complex projects through leading and directing development and delivery teams to achieve program outcomes.
  • Lead the creation of ICT architecture, policies, and standards aligned with strategic business goals.
  • Champion innovation, identifying emerging technologies to enhance organisational efficiency.
  • Foster a high-performing team environment, promoting staff engagement and a diverse workforce.

About you

Do you have proven track record in architecture development and project management? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and possess exceptional communication skills?

We're seeking a highly motivated individual with:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of leading practices in ICT Architecture and IT project and program management.
  • Proven experience in architecture development and program delivery that support achievement of organisational objectives and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and policies.
  • Demonstrated experience in resource management (staff and contractor), scheduling, project risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement and progress reporting. 
  • Demonstrated capabilities in well-honed negotiation, relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven success in managing and motivating individuals and small teams to deliver high quality project delivery and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated capability to communicate technical material to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A passion for building a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

A relevant postgraduate qualification would be highly regarded.
