Remuneration: 152475.99 - 156193.19 full time equivalent base salary range (excludes super, leave loading and salary packaging)

The CHW Pharmacy Department as an independently managed service that is an integral part of a SCHN Network Pharmacy Service and also provides pharmacy services to other SCHN sites such as NETS and Bear Cottage.
The position provides a strategic role to ensure that current and future pharmacy services are safe, effective, efficient and meet professional and stakeholder expectations within a financially responsible framework.
The Director of Pharmacy will work with the SCHN Network Pharmacy Services Manager and other senior Pharmacy managers within the SCHN Network to contribute to the strategic direction of SCHN Network Pharmacy Services.
- Full registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (through Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency-AHPRA) with no restrictions on scope of practice.
- Postgraduate qualifications such as Diploma of Hospital Pharmacy, Diploma of Clinical Pharmacy or any other relevant postgraduate qualifications and/or appropriate and extensive Hospital Pharmacy leadership experience.
- Extensive experience in the provision of advanced clinical pharmacy services in a busy tertiary hospital setting (paediatric experience preferred) with a demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pharmacy practice and Quality Use of Medicine principles.
- Demonstrated experience with drug and therapeutics committees, policy and procedure development, risk management strategies and strong financial and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sound leadership and motivational skills, with demonstrated consultation and negotiation skills to develop and refine strategic relationships both internally and externally to SCHN
- Proven ability to provide operational leadership and strategic direction in the management of departmental resources and services in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, motivate and inspire both clinical and technical support staff and students to further develop their skills and identify opportunities for innovative practice through training and research
- Advanced knowledge of the principles of medication management and safety across a large hospital, including familiarity with the requirements of the National Accreditation Standards.
