About the business
We are an independent power producer and one of Australia's longest-running developers of renewable energy projects.
We own and manage over 400 behind the meter private power stations around the country and are growing rapidly. We design, fund and commission clean energy systems - solar, batteries, EVs etc - so people can access new renewable technologies at nil capital cost.
About the role
We have a weighted pipeline of 23 MW featuring blue chip national clients.
On origination, you will be responsible for developing and driving the sales platform, successfully guiding BDMs in targeting specific markets and working through to conversion.
We have a highly competent project manager, you will be able to support and drive them forward and build our capability.
You will be expanding and managing a small but qualified team and pushing them to achieve sales and project delivery targets.
The role requires vision, acumen and initiative.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage our highly capable team and build the sales and delivery platform.
- Negotiate and close deals with major national clients
- Identify and assist the Head of Sales to apply for large scale tenders
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in the solar energy market
- Report to the Board on a monthly basis
- Robust knowledge of financials and budgets to work alongside the CFO
Role Requirements:
- Proven track record of business management in a B2B environment, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry
- Excellent communication, team management and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and with autonomy
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with major clients
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented

Skills and experience
The perfect candidate has extensive sales experience in either solar or commercial real estate. Preference is certainly for someone with knowledge of the energy industry, renewables, or project development.
You are charismatic and approachable, friendly and confident.
