Thornley steps down from Better Place
Chief Executive of Israel based electric vehicle network service company Better Place, Evan Thornley, has announced his departure after a matter of months in the role.
Mr Thornley was promoted from his role as Australian chief to global CEO in October, having replaced company founder and CEO Shai Agassi.
The Board thanked Mr Thornley for his efforts in raising the required capital needed for the company to continue operations.
“Evan stepped up at a critical junction for Better Place,” said Idan Ofer, Chairman of the Board of Better Place. “We thank Evan for his invaluable service to the company.”
At the Global Level, Mr. Ofer will assume the role of Executive Chairman and manage external relationships and alliances for Better Place, while Alan Gelman, Global CFO for Better Place, will manage day-to-day operations.
