Waste management group Transfield Services has announced the appointment of Vincent Nicoletti as the group’s new Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Nicoletti most recently held the position of Vice President Strategy, Business Development at mining giant BHP Billiton.

“Vince is a globally experienced senior executive with a strong operational finance background, strong commercial capability and deep risk management experience,” Transfield’s Managing Director and CEO Graeme Hunt said.

Mr Nicoletti will start his new role during the first quarter of 2014 in a bid to allow a smooth transition as current CFO Tiernan O’Rouke steps down from the role.
