ANZ Bank has announced the appointment of Bret Packard as the new Managing Director Wealth Asia, reporting directly to Joyce Phillips, ANZ's Global CEO Wealth and Private Banking.

 

Mr Packard will be based in Singapore and will be responsible for leveraging ANZ's investment capabilities and resources in the Asian business area.

 

Mr Phillips welcomed the appointment, describing Mr Packard's appointment as a key step in building the company's presence in the area.

 

“Bret will play a key role in working across ANZ’s markets in Asia to build a strong Wealth base in the region, while continuing to strengthen product development and governance, and enhancing customer insight and delivery,” Ms Phillips said.

 

Mr Packard will assume the role in mid-October.
