Business convention specialist Business Events Sydney’s (BESydney) Chairman, Col Hughes, has announced Lyn Lews-Smith as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer.

 

Mr Hughes said Ms Lews-Smith had extensive experience both in the business events and tourism industry.

 

"She is absolutely the right leader for the BESydney team and her appointment is both well-deserved and a key driver for BESydney’s ongoing success,” he said.

 

Previously Ms Lews-Smith held the roles Chief Operating Officer, General Manager Marketing and Director of Sales. She has been with BESydney since late 2002 and brings more than 18 years of experience in sales, marketing and tourism.

 

In her role as CEO Ms Lews-Smith will work with high-level public and private sector stakeholders, developing and driving the company’s strategic vision, and leading the team responsible for delivering business events.
