Crows CEO back after draft, salary rorts
Banned Adelaide Crows chief executive Steven Trigg will be back on the job this Monday.
Trigg was ousted for six months after being found guilty of draft and salary cap rorts, the Crows’ coach says salary dodginess aside, Trigg is a solid CEO, “it's going to be great to get our CEO back. He has been in the job for 10, 11 years and done a fantastic job so I'm sure the club is going to get a real lift next week," Brenton Sanderson said.
Trigg returns to a restructured Adelaide with former premiership player Nigel Smart appointed as chief operating officer. Trigg pleaded guilty to three charges in relation to "conduct prejudicial to the draft" and "conduct in breach of the total player payments provisions" at a hearing last year, The Crows were also banned from the first two rounds of the 2013 national draft.
