Cold night for homeless CEOs
In Melbourne, the mercury dropped to a low of just 3°C, giving more than 100 CEOs a perhaps realer than expected experience of homelessness in the state.
The annual Vinnies CEO Sleepout, held last night across the country, is set to raise close to $5 million for the St Vincent de Paul Society’s work against homelessness.
Some better-known participants who chose to spend the longest night of the year under the stars included George Frazis, CEO of the St George Banking Group, Holly Kramer, CEO of Best and Less, and Matt Comyn, Group Executive Officer of Retail Banking Services at Commonwealth Bank.
Peter Maher, CEO of St Vincent de Paul Queensland, said over 1200 CEOs participated in the flagship event across the country.
