Seven West Media has snared ex-Coslidated Media Holding’s Chairman John Alexander as the company’s newest Director.

Speaking on behalf of the company’s board, Executive Chairman Kerry Stokes said he was delighted that the industry titan was joining the company.

“We are delighted John has accepted the invitation to join the board of Seven West Media. His success in media and business speaks for itself. His appointment adds further depth to the board of our company as it continues to develop its businesses,” Mr Stokes said.

Mr Alexander’s media pedigree has seen him serve as Chairman of CMH, CEO of Publishing and Broadcasting (PBL) and Chief Executive of ACP Magazines.

Prior to these appointments, Mr Alexander was the Editor-in-Chief of the Sydney Morning Herald and the Australian Financial Review.
